Jaime Platts (Devi Japa Kaur) is a member of the Sat Nam Foundation team, a non-profit with the mission of empowering yogis to serve. She recently moved to the North Country to help pioneer the Foundation’s vision of its new home base at Ski Hearth Farm and is managing the operations at Balance Bethlehem.

Jaime transitioned from Pennsylvania where she lived with family, worked a corporate job, taught Kundalini yoga, and connected deeply with the local yoga sangat and Eastern woodlands. Having lived as both a professional and an adventurer, she brings a balanced blend of skills, heart, and grit to these new endeavors. While working in the corporate setting satisfied an intellectual aspect, there was always a strong pull on her heart for adventure and deeper meaning.

Obeying the call of her soul, Jaime hiked the entire Appalachian Trail in 2010 and completed most of the trek again in 2012. The experience shifted her understanding of what is important in this lifetime and created an even stronger ache for something unknown.

It wasn’t until several years later when she joined the volunteer team at Sat Nam Fest and experienced Kundalini Yoga for the first time, that she was able to identify the missing component – spiritual community. Jaime is now committed to living her life in Truth and is passionate about sharing the sacred science of Kundalini Yoga.

Holding service in her heart and love for all beings, you can find her sauntering in the woods or gardens, hunting wildflowers and edibles, petting bumble bees, and sweet-talking the intentional plants while apologizing to the weeds.
